picture A seasoned worship leader, teacher, song writer, and musician, April began leading worship at the age of 17 at her home church, Agape Faith Church in Clemmons, NC. Her family came to Agape Faith Church when she was only 12 years old and she was active there until 2013 as a worship leader, front line director and vocal coach in their Creative Arts Ministry, under the direction of Senior Pastors, JB & Susan Whitfield. In 2013 she took a huge step to leave her home church and step out onto the water to see where God would lead her next to help build and raise up worshipers!

 

With over twenty years experience in worship and music instruction, April has a passion for stirring the spirit of worship within man, strengthening team unity, and increasing the commitment of excellence within worship ministries. April ministers at worship seminars and travels to multiple churches to provide onsite training for worship leaders and their teams. During her professionally music career she sang with artist such as Percy Sledge, and jazz great Janice Price. In the last few years she has also sang back up for her good friend, national worship artist, Freddy Rodreiguez, and ministered with Christian Recording artist Ayiesha Woods.

 

April is also the lead singer of the Christian band, LifeGiver, a rock / worship band intent on creating encounters with the presence of God through high energy praise experiences and incredible times of prophetic worship. LifeGiver won 2011 NC & SC Christian band of the year in the CMAs, Charlotte Music Awards. LifeGiver has traveled to arenas and churches ministering in music and has played the Bojangles Arena, Halton Music Theater, Knight Theater, Harrisburg PA Arena, and more.

 

April is mom to Conner, 8, and Caleb, 18, who is an up and coming worship musician and has played in several bands since he was 14.
